Jersey Thunder Lacrosse, originally called Athletics Education Lacrosse (or Ath-Ed), was founded by John Gallucci Sr in 1992, and was one of the first companies offering lacrosse training and competitive leagues outside the typical spring season in New Jersey. In the early 2000’s, we selected the best players from our leagues to compete as “Ath-Ed All-Stars” in the newly emerging club tournament scene, and after a few years of success, we formalized the Jersey Thunder Lacrosse Club.

The beginning of club lacrosse in NJ started right here at Thunder with credit to one other NJ-based program as well. For over 30 years, the Gallucci family has served the Northern NJ lacrosse community with an endless passion to grow the game that we love and to always give back to the community that we are so fortunate to be a part of.

Thunder Lacrosse has placed over 1,000 student-athletes at the collegiate level, in every competitive division. Some Thunder athletes have won NCAA championships, broke NCAA scoring or save records, and often found their calling to coach at the high school or collegiate levels.

Thunder Lacrosse ensures that every athlete is developed to their fullest potential, offering “#TheMost” training with one of the most experienced coaching staffs in the area.
